The interests of the Bulgarian zoologists to zoogeography and, correspondingly, to biogeography as a whole, increases considerably. That trend finds expression in the growth of the number of publications during the recent decades, treating zoogeographical matters (general zoogeographic or biogeographic works or publications on the zoogeography of separate taxonomic groups of animals in the country).
