It wouldn be so out of place on The Beatles next to Will�or artha My Dear.�McCartney II deserves to be held in the same high esteem as other superstar-outr works like the Beach Boys�Love You and Neil Young Trans. There a nicely homespun quality lacking in McCartney later experiments with electronic and classical music. Here hoping for a McCartney III someday. Dig the pix and Andy Wickham-hype on Precious Time backside; it was all happening thenhe Strip, Cher flared bells, the Child of Our Times, harmonicas and granny glasses, and any of these sets document the age with super accuracy. McGuire bombastic style murders the Dylan stuff and et Me Be�and it a joy to watch! Lou Adler and the Dunhill family are lurking throughout all this. Sloan LPs are too much: from Jan & Dean to leather fringe and protest in one summer is beautiful! Unquestionably one of the greatest commercial pop hacks, the man who saw the Eve and lived to write about it. His later stuff, on Measure of Pleasure �P.F.
